“The industry has to work with the forest! The construction industry is traditionally an industry that works in complementarity with the forest. If we look at the testimonies we have from the 15th/16th centuries, we notice the architects were people who knew the Forests, Geology, and watercourses. And based on that, the architects presented proposals to their customers.” (Francisco Adão da Fonseca from Pedrêz)

We were invited by Concreta to challenge architects to talk about sustainability. We chose Francisco Adão da Fonseca, for the innovative work he has been doing at Pedrêz, with the search for new, more sustainable materials and this film is the result of the challenge.

Concreta (Portugal's fair in the field of Construction, Rehabilitation, Architecture, and Design), which will take place from the 13th to the 16th of October, will be a great opportunity to discuss the sustainability in architecture and how the industry of construction is adjusting to new challenges.
