Memories of the Sea

“Vila do Conde used to be one of the main Portuguese shipyards where bobbin lace makers still exist today. It was also important to think of the sea from an ecological perspective as an ecosystem that is home to extraordinary marine life and that for every Portuguese people is a portrait of our country.” (excerpt)

The film reveals the process of Cristina Rodrigues' artistic installations. The project has the curatorship of State of the Art and is permanently exhibited at Vila do Conde Porto Fashion Outlet. The project combines art, architecture and pays tribute to Vila do Conde and its sea activities.
