Casas do Futuro (‘Future’s Houses’) - Siza Vieira
Fernando Neto had the dream of meeting again with the man who designed his house: Álvaro Siza.
In the documentary Casas do Futuro by Building Pictures and architect João Rapagão, the discovery of architecture by the greatest Portuguese architect as a student is revealed.
The documentary about Álvaro Siza and the 4 Houses in Matosinhos - intends to understand how the first project was decisive in his career and, at the same time, to try to make the spectators review and be inspired by the stories and experiences with his first client.
The documentary starts with the meeting, after 60 years, between the architect and Fernando Neto, the owner of one of the 4 houses in Matosinhos. For him, Álvaro Siza's visit to his home was an old dream.
Fernando passed away weeks after the meeting and so that the documentary is also a tribute to those who fought for the house to remain as the architect had designed it.
In addition to this meeting and the guided tour carried out by the architect, the owner, and the family, the documentary will be punctuated by interviews, images of the current house, and archive material.
